For some part assemblies, you can't install rivets in every hole at the
same time. Some have to be left open to be installed with a different
part later on. That was the case during this stage of the fuselage build. To prevent installing rivets in certain holes, we took a handful of clecos and wrapped some black tape around them. Then simply use these special clecos in place of the non-marked clecos and you'll stop having to drill out perfectly good rivets!
There are many Van's RV builder's logs out there, but here you'll find some of the most noteworthy topics related to building our RV-7A. We feel the topics here would be most helpful to fellow builders. Our airplane, N2875V, is 95% complete, with several years of work in the making. It will take time to discuss everything, but it will all make it on here soon enough. Be sure to check out our About page and subscribe for updates!
